Fontana Community Church was chartered on July 19, 1925 at the Women's Club with 76 charter members as a non-denominational community of faith. Developer A.B. Miller, who purchased 17,000 acres in Fontana in 1905, donated land and $10,000 for construction with the stipulation that the sanctuary resemble a California Mission in style. The community raised an additional $20,000, and the sanctuary and parish hall were completed in 1927 and formally dedicated on February 19, 1928. The campus later expanded with Miller Hall (1947), a Parlor (1951), a Bell Tower, a two-story education building, and a nursery school (1966).
Under the leadership of Pastor Dayton, Fontana Community Church operates as a seven-day-a-week facility. Programs include a pre-school with a 50-year heritage, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Alcoholics Anonymous groups, and partnerships with GMIM (an Indonesian Sister Church) and New Life Community Church. The church hosts food drives, youth programs, and fellowship events. On July 27, 2025, Mayor Acquanetta Warren recognized the church as 'a cornerstone of hope' at its centennial celebration.
